About the Authors
Linda McBurney-Gunhouse
Linda is a prolific writer and began writing as child. After high school, she briefly pursued Journalism, and she has published several articles in local, city and national newspapers, a magazine article in Command magazine, and sold a short radio play. Her works, including poetry, have appeared in various church bulletins, newsletters and educational publications. She has worked as an editor for Red River College newspaper and started a newspaper from the ground up (as the editor) for Reliance Press in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Her complete published books are currently listed under Creative Focus Publishing on the National Archives of Canada website.
As well as writing inspirational books, poetry books and devotional books, Linda also specializes in creative writing (both fiction and nonfiction). Linda has taught Creative Writing through Red River College Continuing Education, high school English; and, she has also taught creative writing workshops for adults. She is a certified (high school) English teacher and also tutors English privately. She is an experienced and certified teacher of English as a Second Language. She has both a BA and BEd (with honors) in English, and also completed a Christian Magazine Writers course with Christian Writers Institute. She has a background in Journalism, Advertising, Sales, Marketing and Public Relations.
Linda loves to share her faith in the loving God Who saved her and keeps her inspired to write book after book. She dedicates her life to spreading the Good News of the Word of God as she continues to receive it from the God of all things creative. In addition to Linda’s writing/teaching abilities, Linda enjoys a rich and varied creative life in the art world. She is also a professional photographer and artist (of several different mediums).
